Ms. Arias I am a Spanish native speaker and an active member on Spanish Honors Society. I have a Bachelors of Arts with a Spanish Major; focus on Spanish Phonetics and Linguistics and a Minor in all Level Education Certification from the University of North Texas. I graduated on Fall 2014 with a 3.77 on my Major and Overall GPA of 3.25
Experience
I currently work at Legacy Christian Academy. I teach Spanish 1, 2, and Spanish 3. While I was in college I worked as a Spanish tutor at UNT World Languages, Literature's, & Cultures department and during my senior year I worked as a Spanish teacher at an elementary school for a private after school program "Alphabest." My last semester of college I did my student teaching at Lone Star HS at FISD. I have also worked in a student research called HeMT: Human Evaluation of Machine Translation at the Department of Library and Information Sciences, College of Information where I evaluated bibliographical data translations from English to Spanish made by a machine that had 3 different systems. On my free time I am a writer and one of my short stories has been published by the UNT's language department and it's available on the university's library site on the web.
